Deleuze Seminar Part 2

The second half of the seminar begins by turning to the first collaborative work written by Deleuze with Félix Guattari, the infamous Anti-Oedipus, and concludes by considering Deleuze's enigmatic final article, 'Immanence: A Life ...' Between these two moments lie a number of Deleuze's most celebrated works, including the two studies on cinema and What is Philosophy?

As before, the classes are each devoted to the explication of a single work, so no particular prior knowledge is assumed, though certain texts are more technical and abstract than others and thus demand different things from the reader. This means that there is no need to have attended the first half of the seminar that took place earlier this year.

Each week a short text will be provided for students online to read in advance of the seminar. Though this is by no means compulsory, it will provide some basic coordinates for the material to be covered in the lectures.
